Eight Random Things

1. My great-grandfather was the U.S. steamship inspector in April 1912 when the Titanic sunk. I've always been intrigued by the story, and it makes it a little more interesting to think he was there during the hearings.

2. I was born in San Francisco in the late 1960's. I share a birthday with Bea Arthur. I'm gay. Coincidence??

3. I often have what many call "lucid dreams". They're intensely real and sometimes quite frightening. Some say that I may even have had out-of-body experiences. I'm not quite sure, but it's something that fascinates me.

4. I was in the Church News once when I was 18. And there was a photo, too!

5. I went AWOL from my mission half-way through.

6. In 1992 and 1993, I ran a small LDS bookstore out of our basement.

7. At one point, I weighed over 500 pounds. Now I move up and down between 250 and 275. Want to hear about weight loss surgery? I'll be glad to give you my thoughts.

8. I once met Elizabeth Taylor at a fund raiser for Ronald Reagan. I wasn't old enough to appreciate the experience, but I still think it's kinda cool.
